Regensburg UNRRA Team 120 DP Camp
Regensburg located in Bavaria was the largest DP camp in Germany.
It existed from 1945-1949 and housed over 5000 people from the Baltics, Poland, and almost 3000 who were stateless. Money which was printed in the camp was used in the canteen. There are 2 denominations reported 50 cents and 1 dollar. Notes from this camp are extremely rare with only a few known. The 50 cent note shown was shipped form Norway to the United States is missing. It was either lost or stolen somewhere in the US due to the incompetence of the USPS. If anyone discovers this missing note please contact me.
