Chemnitz
Chemnitz POW camp was actually known as Stalag 4F and included the work camp Hartmannsdorf Chemnitz Saxony. The camp operated from 1941-1945 and held mainly French POWs and some British.
The camp was liberated in March 1945. POWs were sent out to work in local factories or dug ditches to lay pipe and harvest timber. Three denominations of scrip were issued 5, 10, and 15 pfennig. Schlossbrauerei and a picture of a man drinking beer and a stork being fed by another person. The connection between these figures and the camp is unknown. I question whether these notes are actually connected to the camp. Further information is needed.
