Seagoville Internment Camp Tokens
The Seagoville Internment Camp was a camp run by the Immigration and Naturalization Service located in Seagoville Texas.
The people held in the camp were Japanese and from Peru and several other South and Central American Countries. American citizens of Japanese descent were also interned there. The camp was opened in 1941 and closed in 1945. Octagonal red fiber tokens in three denominations were issued, 5 cents, 25 cents, and 1 dollar.
