Canada POW Camp M (22)

Camp M later renamed camp 22 was located 15km west of Toronto in Mimico,

Ontario making it one of the only Canadian camps located near a major city. The camp operated from 1940 until 1944 and held primarily German POWs. Only one denomination of chit is known a $1.00 with a horses head stamped on it. Both sides are identical with the chit measuring 51×51 mm.
