Palace Internment Camp
The Palace Internment Camp was one of many internment camps administered by the British located on the Isle of Man.
The camp was located in the town of Douglas and was in operation from July 1940-1942. The camp like others on the IOM held primarily German Jewish refugees. Scrip in denominations of 1 pence, 3 pence, 6 pence, 1 shilling, and 2 shilling/6 pence was issued. Examples are not easily found.
