Buchenwald

The Buchenwald Concentration Camp was located near Weimar Germany. The camp was opened in July 1937 and was liberated in April 1945.

The notes come in two types. Type one has the word Aussenkommando printed across the face. The back is blank and there are denominations of .50 RM, 1 RM, and 2 RM. Many of the notes are overstamped with the name of a subcamp. The second type comes in denominations of .50 RM, 1 RM, 2 RM, and 3 RM. There are varieties that have either straight or slanted legs on the M in RM.
