Regensburg located in Bavaria was the largest Displaced Persons camp in Germany.

It existed from 1945-1949 and housed over 5000 people from the Baltics, Poland, and almost 3000 who were stateless.  Money which was printed in the camp was used in the canteen.  There are 2 denominations reported  50 cents and 1 dollar.  Notes from this camp are extremely rare with only a few known.
