Australia Defense Canteen Eastern Command
The Australian Defense Canteen Services took over the operation of services in Internment and POW camps from the civilian operated canteens in September 1941.
The notes were printed by A. H. Pettifer. These notes were introduced after the Hay notes were withdrawn. They were printed in 4 denominations 1d, 2d, 3d, and 4d. All of the notes seem to have the same serial number 010965 which may indicate that all known specimens came from a single booklet. The notes are very rare.
