Dar Es Salaam Internment Camp
The British ran a temporary holding camp for Italian POWs. Even though the notes say internment camp the camp was believed to be for POWs.
The camp was located in Dar Es Salaam which is the capital of present day Tanzania. Three denominations were issued, 50 cents, 1 shilling, and 10 shillings. All issues are extremely rare with no examples of the 10 shilling seen.
