France Private POW Issue Evreux

Many private companies in France used POWs as laborers in industrial sites and mines. Many of the notes are identified only by a number while some have either the name of the company or the location of the plant.

Many POWs were not sent back to their country of citizenship until 1948.  Evreux produced denominations of .50, 2, 5, and 10 Francs
