Houillere Du Bassin Du Nord Et Du Pas-De-Calais (Douai) French Private POW Camp

These were a series of 18 coal mines that were nationalized after World War II. German POWs were held in France after the war to work in the mines. This particular scrip is from the Douai mines.

The scrip was issued in denominations of 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 Points. The back has a warning of severe punishment for counterfeiting the notes.
