Schildberg

In 1940 a POW camp was established in Schildberg Germany now Ostrzeszow Poland.

The camp first held Polish POWs and was called Stalag XXI-A. In 1943 1500 Norwegian officers were sent to the camp and the name was changed to Oflag XXI-C. Scrip was issued in 3 denominations .40 mark, .80 mark, and 1.60 mark. Notes from this camp are very rare.
