Taiwan POW Camp

The Japanese POW camps were not known for issuing scrip however there were eight camps on Taiwan some of which used scrip.

Many of the prisoners in the camps were Allied officers that were captured in the Philippines, among those was General Wainwright. The notes are printed on one side in English and in Japanese on the other. There are six denominations, 1 sen, 5 sen, 10 sen, 50 sen, 1 yen, 5 yen, and 10 yen.
